May 7th, 2007 - CARBER Grabs Another Top 5 Finish with URC
Bad luck strikes again for Michael Carber of Pipersville, PA and Steve Miller's 22z team. The 22z team thrashed all night to make the A - Main at Williams Grove Friday but was unable to due to fuel pickup problems. Michael and the team look forward to this coming Friday with hopes to not only qualify for the A-Main but also have a strong finish.

Better luck fell to Michael on Saturday night at New Egypt Speedway in Guy Howie's 19H URC Sprintcar. Michael started 4th in his heat and gained the lead on the first lap. Michael stretched his lead to nearly a straight away ahead of Trevor Lewis and the rest of the field. A late race broken shock slowed Michael's pace, but he was able to hold on for the heat race win.

Carber was forced to start 10th in the A-Main due to URC's handicapping system after a 3rd place finish last weekend at Delaware International. Michael passed h is way up to f ourth and with five to go gave his postion up to Ed Aikin as a result of power steering loss. Michael held his ground dispite the lack of power steering and drove Howie's 19H to another top 5 finish.

Michael would like to thank his sponsors and team for their support this season: Allamuchy Garage, Al's Towing, Butcher Motorsports, Burnett Racing Engines, DMI, Hoosier, Lost Creek Carts, MAXIM Chassis, Speed T's, VRP Shocks, and Wings Unlimted.
