Michael with car owner Allan Woods at Parramatta

Night one Michael timed 20th of 75 cars. He then started 2nd and finished 5th in his heat and was then eligible for the dash where he started and finished 5th. Michael started 10th in the A-main and was up to 8th when a large piece of mud knocked off half of the spark plugs. As a result of this he had to pull off and was scored 21st. Michael commented, “It was a pretty good start to the weekend even with a disappointing finish”.

Night 2 of the Outlaws Down Under Michael timed 27th which barely missed the he at inversion. He finished 10th in his heat and was then eligible for the B-main where he finished 8th. Night 3, the finale of OLD IV Michael finished 7th in his heat and ran 15th in the B-main after pulling off.

Overall his time at Parramatta was well spent and a great experience for Michael against the best in the world. Carber would like to thank Allan Woods for the opportunity to race these few races.

Michael has been invited to race three nights of competition in Southern Australia. Thursday, Michael will compete in the Kings Challenge at Borderline Raceway. He will be piloting a sprint car owned by Darryl Wright. Friday and Saturday he will make the trip with Wright to Premier Speedway where he will compete in the Grand Annual Classic as well.

Carber is scheduled to return to the United States the first week of February. After returning he will focus on getting ready for his 2007 season here in the states. Michael and Guy Howie will start the season with a few 410 races in the Central Pennsylvania area before the URC Series begins in April.

CARBER COMPLETES HIS VISIT AT BIS WITH ALL TOP TEN FINISHES
Michael Carber started the preliminary night of the World Series of Sprintcars at BIS on a good note. After time trialing 6th out of 33 cars he had to start near the rear in a series of heat races. On prelim night they were no B or C mains, instead each driver ran a total of 3 heat races. In the first heat he started 7th and finished 5th. The second he started 10th and finished 7th and the third he started 8th and finished 3rd. The was not a dash either so the A-Main was inverted based on each drivers collected points for the night. Michael started 8th in the A-main and was up to 5th early. He nearly turned over on a rough cushion and was forced to start back at the rear of the field, but made his way up to 8th before the checkered waved. If Michael had been a bit more patient a podium finish was very possible as Michael had worked his way to 5th prior to the near crash. Overall a good night of racing for the P& P Motorsports #U25 team. The results of the prelim night determined who would run heats and who wouldn't. The top four drivers from night one were locked in to the dashes. Michael fell just short of a garunteed dash starting spot for night 2, but this allowed Michael to regain himself and compete through the heat races and race his way into the dash. He lined up 3rd for the dash where he finished 4th. After starting 7th in the 50 lap World Series of Sprintcars Australian open he finished the grueling event with a 9th place finish. After completing the World Series at BIS Michael and the team will now focus on the Outlaws Down Under IV at Parramatta City Speedway next weekend.

He is excited that the Gislingham’s and Wood’s have provided this opportunity to compete with the best drivers in this International Event. The combination provides everything needed to make a strong run at the upcoming events.

The latest results for Michael at BIS. After a fair timetrial due to going out early on a slick wet track, Michael raced two heat races for night one of the World Series of Sprintcars at BIS. He started 4th and finished 3rd in his first heat race attempt. He then started 3rd in his next and won. Michael was eligable for the dash where he started and finished 5th. Michael then lined up 9th for the feature where he finished 7th. Carber and the team felt they had a good run on a very fast and narrow track.

Their next scheduled event will be held at BIS once again on Friday, January 12th. This race will be the preliminary race for the last night of the World Series of Sprintcars and Michael's last race at BIS paying $20,000 to win. Michael would like to thank Paul and the entire #25 crew.

New Years Day 2007
Michael Carber of Pipersville, PA drove Paul Gislingham owned #25 sprint car from Brisbane, Australia to victory in the 2nd International Feature of the 06/07 season at BIS. After a slow time trial he had his work cut out for him in his heat races. Michael started 8th in the first heat and finished 2nd. His finish was then inverted for the next heat. He started 7th and finished 3rd. These results made him eligible to compete in the dash. Carber pulled the pole starting position for the dash, but due to some contact with fellow American Jonathan Allard he suffered a broken w-link and managed to pull off 2nd. Michael started outside Allard for the A-Main. Carber got the initial jump off Allard and lead the remainder of the 30-lap feature event.
